We chose the Reggiani Renoir PRO 340 to customize high quality detail for our clients. 10ft roll of crisp high resolution art is the best sublimation on the market. The best print durability, guaranteed no fading after washes because it bonds with the fibre.
While we are capable of printing consistent batches for wholesalers, print designers and apparel companies, we can also provide cheap digital fabric printing to those wanting smaller runs and the high end detail for branding your apparel. Our process has a quick turnaround, less waste, less color error, less processing time which translates to savings. When choosing environmentally friendly — the entire process is worth your assessment.
The fabric and dye process, pre / post treatment all affect our environment. We all want to do our best to take care of this planet, without compromising quality garments. In this four part series, let’s start with the ink.
Known as Sublimation Inks or Dispersion Dyes, the ink molecules sublimate or change directly from a solid to a gas with intense heat application. Dyes skip the liquid state entirely! Who said you’d never use elementary science again. This process guarantees vibrant color longevity. Your brand will last in the consumers mind, and won’t fade over time.
Sublimation or Dispersive inks penetrate directly into the fibers of the substrate, bonding and becoming part of the textile itself. The high temperature process is typically around 380-400 degrees F. The carrier evaporates and the dye turns to gas. When fibres cool they “close” and keep the colorant locked inside. A home dryer can not reach the same temperature, so the fibres never lose their color with regular care.
High heat process means no chemicals in pre and post treatments. Sublimation does not have any toxic residue or pre-treatment chemicals like other methods. Designers wanting natural fabrics like cotton or silk — sublimation requires a polyester blend. Ideal for stretch, spandex, active wear and blends.
Pigment inks are finely ground powder that exists in liquid carriers with binders. Not recommended as the ink sits on the surface and will wash out. Sublimation with TK Textile Dispersive inks creates constancy when the dye is encapsulated into a polymer, pigments are bonded to natural fabrics using binders and a heat calendar process.
We also use UV inks for certain situations! So, If you're looking for digital printing on fabric, Send us your information and we can find the best product.
